Handle objections with what worked
Merdial works out which objections keep coming up on your calls and which answers were followed by a booked meeting. It proposes them as learnings, a person on your team presses Add, and from then on the answer appears the moment the objection is heard.

“Been with them about three years now.”
Long incumbent tenure — the prospect is signalling inertia, not satisfaction.
Ask what their last audit flagged. Three years is long enough for the contract to have drifted from what they actually need.
Heard on 14 calls · booked on 9
AI objection handling is the loop between hearing an objection, finding the reply that worked, and getting that reply to the next rep who hears it. Merdial runs all three — detection on every scored call, evidence from what happened next, and a live coaching card — with a human approval in the middle.
Replies with evidence
- Objections are grouped across your scored calls, so the recurring ones surface
- Each proposed reply shows how often the objection was heard and how often the reply booked
- Proposals wait in Memory until someone on your team presses Add or Skip
One library, always current
- Replaces the shared document of objections that nobody updates
- Every rep hears the same proven answer, whoever wrote it first
- A reply learned for one account never leaks into another account’s calls
Common objections, and the shape of a good reply
Editorial examples, to show the idea. Your Merdial library is built from your own calls and approved by your own team.
- Objection
“We already have a provider.”
Usually inertia, not satisfaction.
Reply shapeAsk what their last review of that provider flagged, then offer to compare on that one point.
- Objection
“Just send me an email.”
A polite exit — or a real request for detail.
Reply shapeAgree, then ask the one question that decides what the email should say.
- Objection
“It’s not in the budget.”
Timing or priority, rarely money alone.
Reply shapeAsk when budgets are set, and what would have to be true to make room.
- Objection
“I’m not the right person.”
A referral waiting to happen.
Reply shapeAsk who owns it, and whether you can mention that you spoke.
Straight answers
Where do the replies come from?
From your own team: replies your reps saved, and replies Merdial found on your scored calls that were followed by a good outcome. Nothing is added to the library without a person approving it.
Can the AI add replies to the library by itself?
No. A learning is a proposal. It reaches reps’ screens only after someone on your team has read it and pressed Add.
Does one client’s objection library affect another’s?
No. Each account’s learnings are isolated, so a reply learned for one client never appears on another client’s calls.
Is the free plan a trial?
No. Free is 10 hours of talk time every month on one seat, with every call scored, live in-call coaching and the objection library. It does not expire and it does not ask for a card.
